Dedusting of a car wreck crushing line
Partner:
Dedusting occurs in the screen drum, where the input material is broken into smaller parts. The sorting line is used to separate the individual components of crushed scrap. By repeatedly pouring the scrap in the separation drum, light fractions (textiles, plastics, etc.) are entrained by the effect of the circulating air stream.
The air is then led to cyclone separators, where the coarse particles of the light fraction are separated. The coarse particles trapped in this way are carried out of the circulation circuit by turnstile feeders. The air is sucked in from the cyclone outlet by a circulation fan, which blows it back into the sorting line.
Part of the air from the pipe connecting the cyclones and the circulation fan is extracted by the exhaust fan. The air passes through the secondary cleaning stage into the chimney, and is released into the air. The amount of air extracted is continuously replaced by air from the hall sucked into the sorting line through openings for the entry and exit of the sorted material.
Primary separation
Primary separation is solved as a set of parallel placed cyclones. It is a system of four mechanical dust separators. Cyclones for dust separation use centrifugal forces acting on dust particles entrained in the exhaust air. The incoming mixture of air and dust enters the cyclone separator in the upper part – the eccentric rise. The rise rotates this mixture around the cyclone axis. Due to the centrifugal force, the dust particles slide on the inner surface of the tube of the cyclone separator. Due to gravity, they are carried downwards to the dump flange. The air leaves at the top of the cyclone separator. For the correct function of the cyclone, the pressure separation of the waste dump from the surrounding environment is ensured. The separation is realized by means of rotary feeders. The feeders ensure that the flow inside the cyclone is not affected or that air escapes through the discharge neck.
Secondary separation
A secondary purification stage is installed to separate fine particles. It is a system of four pairs of mechanical dust separators. Cyclones for dust separation use centrifugal forces acting on dust particles entrained in the exhaust air. The incoming mixture of air and dust enters the cyclone separator in the upper part – in the eccentric rise, which causes this mixture to rotate around the axis of the cyclone. Due to the centrifugal force, the dust particles slide on the inner surface of the tube of the cyclone separator and are carried downwards by gravity towards the discharge flange. The air leaves at the top of the cyclone separator.
Each pair represents two cyclone separators arranged in series, the output of the first separator being led to the inlet of the second separator.
The discharge from the cyclone will be solved by means of an expansion vessel, which has the task of calming the rotation of the separated material before it enters the rotary feeder. In total, over 100 tons of technological equipment and steel structures were manufactured and installed.
