Implementation of pneumatic transport of sawdust to a remote silo using a transport fan and a cyclone separator
One of the important references of our company is the implementation of a system of pneumatic transport of sawdust to silos 150 meters away. This system is equipped with a transport fan of our own manufacture, which serves as an auxiliary fan to ensure the necessary transport capacity. We used a cyclone separator, also manufactured by our company, to separate the sawdust from the transport air and a rotary feeder for the subsequent output of the material.
Objective of the order and technological solution
The main objective of the order was to enable the efficient filling of two silos, with a considerable distance between them - about 150 metres. To achieve this, our technology was used, including shut-off and changeover dampers, cyclone separators, transport fans and rotary feeders. For the piping, spiro piping was chosen in a reinforced design for straight sections, combined with welded elbows with a long radius of arc for optimum sawdust transfer. All joints of the piping components were made with flanged joints, thus ensuring maximum tightness and eliminating the risk of sawdust leakage.
Inspection and maintenance elements
The piping system is equipped with inspection openings that allow for regular inspection and possible cleaning of the piping, thus ensuring a long service life and trouble-free operation of the entire system. The installation and commissioning of the technology was carried out by our implementation unit G&G Filtration CZ, s.r.o., which ensured professional installation and flawless commissioning of the system.
Transport fans for efficient sawdust transport
Our transport fans are designed for efficient extraction of sawdust and dust, especially in applications where the material passes through the fan and is subsequently conveyed to the filtration plant. They are most commonly used in positive pressure sawdust extraction systems where the fan exhaust is directed directly to the filter units. Another common application is wet sawdust extraction in sawmills, where a cyclone separator is used, or in pneumatic material handling systems.
In some cases, vacuum sawdust extraction can also be used, where the fan is located downstream of the filter unit. Our company manufactures a wide range of conveying fans ranging from 3.0 kW to 18.5 kW, allowing flexible solutions for different types of sawdust conveying applications.
