We have implemented a spatial extraction of the welding room with the help of our filtration equipment G&G Patro JET. There are 6 welding workstations in the hall, above which we designed and installed an underfloor extraction system. We installed exhaust ductwork under the ceiling of the hall, which uses exhaust extensions to draw the fumes away from the centre of the welding workstations.
We used a G&G Patro JET 3-3-2-18 cartridge filter with automatic regeneration of the filter media by means of pressurized air with 18 cartridges for the space exhaust of the welding room. The filter area is 324 m2 and the extraction capacity is 19 000 m3/h. Dust is collected in a 50l bucket. The filtered air is returned to the production area by means of a distribution sleeve with perforated openings so that the filtered air is distributed downwards to the floor. In the case of room exhaust in a welding shop, it is always very important to exhaust under the ceiling and return the air towards the floor so that an area of warmer air is not created under the ceiling, which then prevents the smoke from rising upwards.

This is a dry, cartridge filter device for dust fractions, equipped with automatic regeneration of the filter medium by means of pressurized air. Regeneration of the filter medium is cyclical at set time intervals with the possibility of controlling according to the actual pressure loss. The extraction capacity is determined by the fan used according to the type of material and the required load on the filter area. The filter area load is set to a minimum of 1.0 m3/m2/min for the G&G Patro JET filter type. The filter unit is manufactured in a version for outdoor installation without the need for roofing. The filtration unit achieves high filtration efficiency - up to 99.9%, therefore it is possible to return the filtered air back to the production hall. The ratio of the return air to the hall space and the outdoor environment is determined by the technology designer according to the characteristics of the extracted material and the air conditions of the production facility.
