Reference: plastic dust extraction and filtration

Our G&G Jet BAG filtration system for the extraction of plastic dust is equipped with an automatic regeneration system of the filter media by means of pressurized air. The filtration system is designed to allow the filtrate to be captured in the big-bag and the filtered air to be returned to the work area.

Job description and technology

Our delivery included the complete fabrication and installation of a filtration system for a plastic dust extraction application, model G&G Jet BAG. This filtration equipment is designed for outdoor installation, without the need for a shelter, and is equipped with flat textile filter hoses with automatic regeneration by means of pressurized air pulses. A highly efficient system is used for filtration, which significantly extends the life of the filter media.

The filtration plant is equipped with a hopper to catch the filtrate, which is topped with a rotary feeder that ensures the discharge of the waste into the big-bag for easy handling of the filtrate. The filter is mounted on a robust steel structure that ensures the stability and long-term durability of the entire system.

Optimised filtration and airflow concept

The airflow concept inside the filter unit is designed so that air enters the filter unit from the top and exits filtered at the bottom of the unit. This top-down oriented system significantly aids the efficient removal of dust and prevents dust from accumulating in the system. In addition, this design choice reduces the pressure loss of the filter media and ensures optimum efficiency of the entire process.

Long filter media life

Thanks to the regeneration technology used and the quality of the filter material, we guarantee a long filter media life of at least 5 years, which significantly reduces the operating costs associated with frequent replacement of filter elements. Our goal is to provide our clients with efficient and long-term operation without the need for frequent maintenance and replacement of components.

Application specifics for plastic dust

Plastic dust is very fine, light and prone to the formation of vaults (deposits) in the dumps. For this reason, emphasis is placed on continuous regeneration of the filter media and gradual slope of the hopper to ensure continuous removal of dust particles and to prevent their accumulation, which could lead to clogging of the hopper and reduced filtration efficiency. This system ensures trouble-free operation even with high demands on plastic dust filtration.

Installation and project implementation

The installation of the filtration unit was provided by our implementation unit, G&G Filtration CZ, s.r.o., which took care of the complete commissioning of the system and its optimization for the application.
