We implemented a central exhaust system with connection of 13 dust extraction points of the upper paths of the grain silo. The filtration unit is designed for a suction capacity of 13 x 883 m3/h => 11481 m3/h.
The filter used is of the G&G Jet BAG type with automatic regeneration of the filter medium by means of pressurized air. The entire aspiration system is designed in accordance with ATEX legislative requirements - extraction of explosive dusts. The filtration system is equipped with a certified pressure relief unit to release the pressure wave into the interior of the hall. This eliminated the need for penetrations through the external building envelope. A B-flap backflow preventer is installed in the exhaust duct to prevent the backflow from spreading into the intake tract in the event of an explosion. Dust discharge from the filter is via a rotary feeder with a line to the existing dust fall pipe. The exhaust of the filtered air is led to the outside environment.
The dismantling of the existing, no longer used filtration technology, including the dismantling of all original exhaust ducts, was also part of the implementation. The aspiration technology was implemented on the top floor of the grain silo and the filtration unit had to be assembled on site due to the small size of the mounting hole.
The G&G Jet BAG filter units are textile filter units equipped with automatic regeneration of the filter media by means of a counter-current of pressurised air. From experience in individual applications, the lifetime of the filter media is more than 20,000 operating hours, without the need for any manual refinishing. The filter medium is a flat, smooth, non-woven fabric sleeve with a weight of 550 g/m2. The filter medium does not contain any folds in which dust can settle. It is also very mechanically resistant to tearing or puncture. The residual drift of dust particles ranges from 0,25 mg/m3 to 5 mg/m3 depending on the dust extracted. The filtration plant is equipped with either a 50 litre waste hopper or waste discharge via a rotary feeder into a BIG-BAG, or in a design according to specific demand. G&G Jet BAG filters are also available in versions for the extraction of explosive dusts.
