ABOUT HIGH-TEMPERATURE FILTRATION
High-temperature flue gas filtration for boiler rooms, melting furnaces, and specific projects.
For applications where flue gas temperatures exceed the limits of fabric filters (above 260 °C) or where there is a risk of ignition (sparks), we deploy ceramic or stainless steel filter element technology. These filters are made of heat-resistant fibers that withstand thermal shocks and aggressive chemical environments. The system does not only function as a mechanical barrier for particulate matter. Thanks to the possibility of sorbent injection (hydrated lime, soda) directly into the flue gas duct, a highly efficient chemical reaction (dry sorption) takes place on the surface of the filter media. This removes acidic components (SOx, HCl, HF) simultaneously with dust extraction. High-temperature filters are very resistant to ignition from present sparks or unburnt residues.

The most common applications of high-temperature filters are for flue gas dedusting behind biomass boilers, dedusting of ash silos, and ash transport routes. A new challenge for us is the filtration of synthesis gas (Syngas). High-temperature filters find application wherever there is a risk of filter media damage from glowing particles and a continuous extraction performance is required.
