How does the recycling operation extraction differ from the extraction of other operations?
Recycling operations extraction is very specific because of inhomogeneity of the extracted dust. We will introduce the extraction of municipal waste recycling as example. Municipal waste is different depending on trends and seasons. During the winter, a large amount of ash is a part of municipal waste and during the summer there is no ash in the municipal waste. Exhaust system must by adjustable for various operating states of the recycling line. The part of exhaust dust are plastic bags and other light fractions of paper packaging and foils, which are get into the exhaust system too. These plastic bags cause problems in filters, where they tend to block up the space between filter hoses and during regeneration, they are clogging the filter hopper. Plastics, papers, and foils have an extreme tendency to form vaults in the hoppers of the filters and that’s then floods the filter unit with a waste. As a measure against intrusion of foils and plastic bags into the filter, we install rotary separators in front of the filter unit, which ensure the separation of these particles from the extracted air. The bags and foils then end under the rotary separator, where they are discharged into a press or container and only dust particles continue into the filter unit.
What to watch out when you extract recycling operations?
You must thoroughly understand exhaust line, before the realization. You have to discuss the function of each machine and design the right exhaust product and its suction power. It is important not to forget anything, from the receipt of material to filling points, overflows of belt conveyors, crushers, sorters, and granulators. Every technological part must be exhaust by own specific way. Even one inappropriately designed, or badly regulated extraction place can mean significant loss of final product. We cannot forget explosive space. It is not possible to clearly define input material, so it is necessary to assume, that explosive material may be exhausted. We shouldn’t forget in the humidity of the extraction medium. Especially in winter, moist air can condense on the walls of the filter and hopper inside the piping and filter equipment. Condensate causes the rotary feeder rails and material inside the hopper to freeze. To prevent condensation, the filter system and suction line must be thermally isolate, and the hopper equipped with heating.
